LA FAM Teatre, founded in 2014 in Vila-real (Castellón), emerged from the impetus of an experienced group of actors, actresses and musicians with the vision of exploring new forms of scenic expression in the urban environment.

Since its inception, the company has challenged conventions and taken its proposals to the streets, captivating diverse audiences with shows of great visual impact and provocative messages that invite reflection.

Committed to the exploration of unconventional scenic spaces, we continue to innovate and connect directly with the viewer, turning every corner of the cities into a canvas for creativity, and defending street arts from associations such as AVETID and PATEA, organizations that promote and protect this sector and of which we are members.

Tailor-made shows

With a meticulous approach, we design and direct tailor-made shows, offering high-quality productions that captivate and thrill audiences. We always take into account the specifications of each project and adapt to all types of venues.

Over the years, we have specialised in the overall management of large events. From conceptualisation to production, artistic direction and execution, we are committed to delivering a flawless and memorable experience for our clients and their audience.

Festivals

Throughout the year, we are responsible for the artistic direction and production of several street arts festivals, including the Festival internacional MUT! of Non-Verbal Performing Arts in Castellón, now in its eighth edition and a great success with critics and audiences alike.
Other festivals we have created include the A ras! festival in Oropesa, Fes TAM! in Almazora, Al Carrer! in Gilet and Seu-te! in Borriana.

Our commitment to the dissemination and teaching of the performing arts has led us to the field of training. Since 2020 we have managed the Escola de Teatre Municipal de Castelló, with more than a hundred students of all ages.

Founder and Director

Sergi Heredia

Artistic director and producer of LA FAM Teatre, Sergi Heredia began his professional career in 2011 at the age of 18, working as an actor for companies such as Scura Splats, Visitants and Xarxa Teatre, among others.
His interest in the performing arts led him to study at the Col·legi del Teatre in Barcelona in 2012, where he graduated in Dramatic Arts. He then completed a postgraduate degree in stage direction at the same Col·legi del Teatre and in 2018 continued his studies and training at the Laura Jou Acting Studio in Barcelona with renowned acting director Isaac Alcayde.
Simultaneously with his training, in 2014, he founded the company LA FAM Teatre, with which he has carried out numerous productions and custom commissions for major events in recent years, as well as directing performing arts festivals such as the MUT! festival in Castelló, A RAS! in Oropesa del Mar, SEU-TE! in Burriana, FESTAM! in Almassora and the AL CARRER! festival in Gilet, among others. He also directs the municipal theatre school in Vila-real and Castellón.
In 2022, LA FAM expands with LA FAM Produccions and its show AMBULANT, a large-scale circus production that wins the award for best circus show at the 2023 Valencian Performing Arts Awards, the award for best family show at the 2022 Alcoy Festival and the FETEN award for best circus show in 2024.
In addition to directing shows for LA FAM Teatre and LA FAM Produccions, Sergi will direct Xafar la gespa in 2022, the first street arts production produced by the Escalante Performing Arts Centre.
Production and administration

Sara Broch

Sara Broch was born in Vila-real and trained as an administrative assistant, beginning her professional career in 2000 in theatre companies as head of production and administration.
He has worked for renowned companies on the national and international scene, such as Xarxa Teatre and its productions Deus o Besties and Tombatossals, while also working for Velam Produccions and its performing arts magazine Fiestacultura.
A few years later, he continued his career at Albena Teatre, working on productions such as El museu del temps, Mans quietes! ‘ and ’Que tinguem sort!", before moving on in 2011 to work for Produccions Scura, the production company behind Scura Splats, La Banda del Drac, Percupads and La Furtiva, where he worked in the companies' administration and management department.
In 2014, she joined LA FAM. Sara Broch has worked there since the company was founded and is currently responsible for the company's office.
Actor

Santi Martínez

Multidisciplinary actor, graduated from ESAD in Valencia. He stands out for his training at the Conservatory of Music, specialising in oboe, where he also acquired complementary training in piano. This training has enabled him to compose soundscapes for theatrical pieces such as Nagg i Nell and Fedra, among others.
Trained in theatre by professionals in the sector such as Fernando Piernas, Israel Elejalde, Àlex Rigola, Jorge Eines, María José Peris, Eva Zapico... In the field of dance, he has been trained by Mamen García, Guillermo Weickert, Dominik Borucki, Carla Chillida and Joaquín Collado. His most recent work includes La Máquina de Rube Goldberg by Nacho Diago, where he works as a puppeteer and performer, Mr. Blue Sky and Aquiles by Sergio Heredia for La Fam Teatre, Cuadros de una Exposición by Víctor Gil for the Palau de Les Arts, the musical Happy End directed by Salva Bolta for Teatres de la Generalitat Valenciana, playing the character of El NANO, Médula by Eva Zapico for La Coja Dansa, Verona by Javier Sahuquillo (Special Mention Almagro Off), Fedra by Javier Sahuquillo, where he worked as an actor and musician; and K, created by Eva Zapico based on research into Franz Kafka's The Metamorphosis. He has also performed at the Sagunt a Escena International Festival with Sísifo, Proletario de los dioses by Ximo Flores. In addition, he has expanded his repertoire with street performances with the Maduixa Teatre, La Fam Teatre and Pepa Cases companies.

Victor Segarra

Victor Segarra Balado, born in Castellón, began his professional career in street theatre and circus companies in 2011 and continues to this day, being part of the cast of well-known companies such as Produccions Scura, La Finestra Nou Circ and La Fam Teatre.
In 2014, he travelled to Argentina to study at the Circo Criollo school (Buenos Aires), training in disciplines such as acrobatic lifts, juggling, balancing and the scale.
He is currently part of La Fam's artistic team in numerous shows. He is also involved in new collective acrobatics and Russian bar projects with the Valencian company Spinish Circo.

Juanan Lucena

Juanan Lucena, a Valencian actor who graduated in dramatic arts from the Escuela del Actor in 2005. At the beginning of his career, he joined Parabara Teatre, while also starting to work as a clown with Bugus Teatre and Astracanada. It was with Visitants that he became hooked on street theatre, participating for years in various shows with the company. He has also worked with Teatres de la Generalitat, Teatro Quimera, Xana Teatre, Teatre de l'ull, Altereven, Espectáculos Pinkertón, Saga Producciones and La Fam, among others.
In recent years, he has been more involved in children's, family and musical theatre, both in acting and in playwriting and adapting texts for Saga Producciones and Teatro Flumen.
He currently combines his acting work in family, musical, classical and street theatre with set design for Reyes del Mambo.

Ainhoa Cebrià

Ainhoa Cebrià, actress and dancer. She graduated in Dramatic Art from the Escalante Theater Center, she continues her training with renowned professionals such as Andrés Lima, Alberto Velasco and Jorge Picó. Her background includes the study of various dance techniques at the Nayra Ruiz school and with different dance teachers. From her work as a performer to her role as a choreographer, she has worked in street theater companies (Scura Splats or LA FAM Teatre) and theater productions such as Màgia (Pepa Cases), Voràgine (IVC - Pepa Cases), Música Empresonada (Toni Tordera ), and After·Sun by Borja López Collado. In addition, she has participated in feature films such as Amor en Polvo by Juanjo Moscardó and Suso Imbernón and La Benvinguda by Pablo Peris.
Actor and set designer

César Marín

César Marín Maestre is a multifaceted artist born in Onda, and trained in set design and production, as well as street arts, clowning, improvisation techniques and interpretation. He has left his mark as a street actor and stilt walker in renowned companies such as Scura Splats, Visitors, La Troupe Malabó and LA FAM, and has contributed to the success of various theatrical shows by designing costumes, props and sets for shows and events. companies such as La Fam, Scura Splats and La Troupe Malabó. Currently, he is part of the LA FAM Producciones work team, serving as a touring manager for the large-format show Ambulant.

Sergio Ibáñez

Diploma in Dramatic Arts from the Escuela del Actor (Valencia, 2001–2005), Graduate in Directing and Playwriting from the Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático (Valencia, 2011–2015).
He began his professional career in 2001 with Visitants, where he spent his early years discovering street arts. He has always been interested in street theatre and its spatial and interpretive possibilities. Alternating throughout his career between different performing arts spaces, he has carried out artistic work with companies such as La Fura dels Baus, CRIT, Kul de Sac, Musical Sport, Señores Jaguares, IVC, etc.
On the technical side, he developed his work within the creative group Los Reyes del Mambo for 12 years, researching and creating performance spaces. Since 2014, he has been part of the artistic and human team at LA FAM.
Actress

Marta Martín

Natal de Castellón began her artistic training at the age of six with classical ballet and flamenco. Once she came of age, and after many courses in dance, theatre and circus arts, she began her professional career working in street theatre companies such as Xarxa Teatre and Scura Splats. To further her training, she travelled to Seville to specialise in musical theatre, graduating with a degree in Performing Arts. Years later, she joined Esféric, a show by La Furtiva, which won several awards for best street performance.
Once this project was over, she travelled to Argentina to train in circus arts, perfecting her juggling, acrobatics, trapeze and teeterboard techniques. We saw her with Cirque Des Sens, bringing the elf Ki to life in major theatres in Madrid.
For several years, she developed her skills in contemporary dance under the guidance of Pepa Cases at A tempo dansa and will be part of Karlik danza (Cáceres) in the project ‘Maletas’ performed at the Zaragoza Expo and at the Roman theatre in Mérida.
She can currently be seen in several shows by the circus-theatre company La Finestra nou circ (Valencia) and at La Fam Teatre (Vila-real), where she has been based for almost eight years.
He recently premiered his solo piece ‘Kabbala’, forming his own company called ‘La Raro’, and is part of the Imagine project by the company ‘Cirque des Sense’ (Málaga).

Joan Ballester

He began his theater training in 2009 at the Escalante Theater Center, with teachers such as Fabrizio Meschini and Juan Carles Roselló. He graduated from the Higher School of Dramatic Arts, Valencia (ESAD). He has taken courses with professionals such as Juan Pablo Mendiola, Maria Jose Peris, Sandra Manclús, Fernando Soto, Ximo Flores, Eva Zapico, Toni Aparisi, Victoria Salvador. He co-founded the theater company Barbarie Teatre. The work he has done with the theater companies, Panicmap, Nacho Diago, La Fam Teatre, Maduixa Teatre, Colectivo Isquio, Cactus Teatre, ASSAIG stands out. He combines his career as an actor with that of lighting and assistant director.

Sara Gil

Sara Gil dancer, teacher and choreographer. She graduated in professional contemporary dance teaching at the Royal Mariemma Professional Dance Conservatory in Madrid, and with training in vertical dance and circus. Her artistic career encompasses a wide range of collaborations and creations in the field of dance and performing arts. She has collaborated with contemporary dance companies such as New Dance Company (Holland) and Takiri Art Company, she has been part of choreographies by professionals such as Pedro Berdäyes, Carmen Werner, or José Reches. She is a performer and collaborator of vertical dance companies such as La Fura Dels Baus, Aerial Jockey Strada and Zinbulu Kolektiboa and street theater companies such as LA FAM Teatre, Scura Splats, Nuc, Koselig.

Aitor Mendieta

Aitor Mendieta Zabala began his training as an actor in 2001, studying dramatic arts at the Escuela del Actor in Valencia. He complemented his artistic training with various courses and degrees in dance and circus arts.
During his early career in Valencia, he worked as a technician and set designer for theatre and street arts companies such as Teatre de L'Ull, Visitants Teatre, the Escuela del Actor itself, and the Crisis Teatro-Danza company, among others.
He continues his career as an actor, specialising mainly in street arts and belonging to renowned companies with which he has toured extensively both nationally and internationally, such as La Fura dels Baus, Visitants Teatre and LA FAM Teatre, with whom he has been working for the last decade.

Xavi Castelló

Clown, actor, stilt walker, aerial acrobat and juggler, with 27 years of professional experience. A lover of street arts, he has spent his entire professional life from square to square. He is a restless mind who never stops creating, whether it be stories for shows or structures and systems. He is almost as passionate about producing as acting, and it is in that aspect where he can experiment with sets, porches and everything that a director - or he himself - is capable of imagining. During his long career in the entertainment world he has been the founder of several street theater companies.

Alba Blanco

Alba Blanco Benavent, born in Valencia in 1977.
Trained as a contemporary dancer and actress at Botànic Espai de Dansa (Valencia) and IUNA (Buenos Aires), she expanded her knowledge with teachers such as Ramon Oller, Keith Seiji Morino, Nadine Azor, Gerard Collins, Toni Mira, Francesc Bravo, Rick Merrill, Juan Bernardo Pineda, Rocio Perez, Cristina Andreu...
She was introduced to the world of circus by Gran Fele and continued her training at schools in Argentina, Espácio Cero, La Arena and Circo Criollo. It was also in Buenos Aires where she was introduced to the world of aerial dance. She continued her training in England at schools such as Circomedia and The Invisible Circus. Since she began working at the age of 20, she has participated in and/or been part of Valencian companies such as Cèl Ras, Circo Gran Fele, Titola Teatre, Xarxa Teatre, and more recently Produccions Scura, Pepa Cases, Xa! Teatre, La FAM... He has also participated in national and international companies such as Nats Nus Dansa (Barcelona), Deambulants (Girona), Jobithume, Retouramonts, Ilotopie (France), Bartalak, and Ojos Verticales (Buenos Aires).

Fanfi García

Fanfi García, improviser actor, professional clown and theater teacher, trained for ten years with great teachers such as: Ami Hattab, Sergi Claramunt, Virginia Imaz, Carles Castillo, Emanuelle Gisert or Veronic Joly... among others. Obtaining a university postgraduate degree in Theater Pedagogy from the University of Valencia. Professor at the municipal theater schools of Castelló and Vila-real, since 2015. Workshop teacher in the projects “Vives Emplea” (Action Against Hunger) and “Jornadas de Teatro Joven” (Cia La Inestable). Professional clown for ten years for the Payasospital association. Co-founder and director of the “Castelló Improvisation League” (with a history of 12 annual editions) and creator of the improvisation group “Improplana”.

Ventura Cano

Actor, musician and clown. His first artistic works were carried out in street theater and circus companies. He specializes in the discipline of clowning which he combines with the task of teaching social circus and Philosophy. He graduated in Theater Interpretation and Creation from the La Mancha International School of Gesture and Image in Santiago, Chile. He also has a Graduate in Philosophy with a Master's Degree in secondary school teaching from the UV.

Since our inception, a large number of professionals have collaborated with us, and we will always be grateful to them.
